Hmm…Snorkel, Snuba or Scuba?

Snuba is a great way to introduce yourself to the beautiful waters of the Big Island. For those who want to experience the wonders of breathing underwater, Snuba is a shallow water dive system, bridging the gap between snorkeling and scuba diving. Unlike scuba, there is no time consuming training and heavy restrictive gear. After being fitted for Snuba gear, your guide gives you a complete yet brief orientation followed by a practice session in shallow water – in a very short time you’re enjoying the beauty and serenity of the underwater world!

Snuba is easy for couples, families, children over eight years old, and seniors, and you don’t have to dive deeper than you feel comfortable with. Maximum depth is 25ft. The dive proceeds at your pace, and when everyone is ready you’ll embark on a guided, underwater tour with a maximum of six students on each tour.

For kids ages 4-7yrs, they have Snuba Doo, a flotation vest with a regulator attached to the raft by way of a 10ft hose. Seeing them paddling along on the surface watching everyone below makes memories you’ll never forget!

Choice of beach or boat cruise dive.

Snorkeling and Snuba (beach): 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
Scuba Diving (beach): 7:30am, 10:30am and 1:30pm.
Boat dives: 8:00am and 12:00 noon.

Check in (beach): Kona Beach Shack at the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel.
Check in (boat): Honokhau Harbor.
