Customize A Day – Fishing, Snorkeling, Dolphins!

Kona is renowned for calm, cobalt blue waters, moderate temperatures and big game fish including record Blue Marlin, as well as Striped Marlin, Mahimahi, Ono, Spearfish, and Ahi (Yellow fin Tuna). Owner/operator Captain Ray holds a 100 Ton Master’s License, is a PADI Certified Dive Master and has been diving Kona Reefs since 1982. In addition to Big Island sportfishing and diving experience, Captain Ray has over 40 years of professional experience in the recreational adventure and boating industry.

The fully equipped 2001 Cabo 35 Flybridge Shogun has a comfortable bridge and cockpit seating, large cockpit with fighting chair, salon with air conditioning, full galley, marine head, 2 staterooms and is equipped with autopilot, GPS, fish finder, radar, VHF Radio, necessary safety equipment.

All fishing equipment (50#, 80# and 130# two-speed Penn International Reels) is provided and fishing license is not required. They troll with surface lures most of the time and prefer to tag and release billfish. Any catch under 30lbs will be filleted for your consumption! Billfish belong to boat and crew, but they’re happy to arrange for a mount.

Captain Ray also offers a popular Fishing and Snorkeling Combination Charter – a mix of activities for your family and friends where you can fish for big game, snorkel, and maybe swim with dolphins and watch whales all on the same day! All charters provide fruit and pastry, beverages, and a delicious lunch after your snorkel.

Fishing Charter: 4hrs, 6hrs, and 8hrs (max 6 passengers)

Combo Charter: 6hrs, 7hrs, and 8hrs (max 6 passengers)

Cancellation: $100 non-refundable deposit retained on cancellations 3-13 days prior to charter date.

Enjoy a remarkable day of fishing with owner/operator Captain Brian Wargo or any one of the other professional captains and crew. Your holiday starts as soon as their boats depart from Honokohau Harbor on the Big Island, the closest destination to the best sportfishing spot on the Kona Coast -”Grander Alley”! This stretch of Hawaii coastline is famous for sportfishing, especially giant Blue Marlin so bring the family and enjoy a day of activity filled with fun, excitement, and adventure.

The Bite Me I has a top speed 30 knots and is one of Kona’s fastest 40 footers (you’ll enjoy her two brand new 3126B electronic, smoke-free 450hp Caterpillar engines). There’s a comfortable a/c cabin with sleeping quarters for overnight trips, couches, VCR, DVD, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, and restroom with showers.

The Bite Me II is a 46′ Hatteras with a large tuna tower and two 550hp Detroit Diesels, a shaded top deck for great viewing and a comfortable a/c cabin for overnight trips with couches, VCR, DVD, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, and restroom with showers.

The Bite Me III is a 40′ Egg Harbor with a large tuna tower and shaded top deck for great viewing with a shaded or sunny Kona open cockpit with leather couches below. Thee is a CD with Ipod plug-in and a clean restroom with showers.

All boats feature: Gold   Penn International Two-Speed Reels (five-130s, two-80s, two-50s), Shimano TLD Graphite Reels (four-TLD 25s, four-TLD 15s), assorted Accurate Fishing Tackle, Melton International Custom Built Rods, Rupp Tournament outriggers, full size Murray Brothers fighting chair, tuna tubes, live bait wells.
