A Really Fun Kauai ATV Tour!

This great Waterfall tour is perfect for those looking for more challenging terrain as well as the adventure of hiking to and swimming in their private spring-fed waterfall. You’ll see famous Hollywood movie locations as well as magnificent views of the famous Kipu Kai.  Kipu Ranch is a 3,000 acre property extending from the Huleia River to the top of Mt. Haupu. and is home to many movie sites and wildlife. The ranch has seen many changes through the years, from a sugar plantation to the working cattle ranch it is today. You’ll have time for instruction and practice and be provided with helmet, goggles and bandannas.

Restrictions: Must be 5 yrs and older.  This tour is not for anyone pregnant or with back or other injuries that could be aggravated by this type of off-road activity. Drivers must have photo ID with proof of age.

ATV Plantation Tour…and More!

This is an adventure filled 3 hour tour throughout Kauai’s south shore. Access major movie sites, ride through a half mile cane tunnel, and learn about Kauai’s plant and animal life from their knowledgeable guides. The Mud Bugs are perfect for those who just can’t bear to be apart and are fully automatic off-road vehicles that guests drive. A bigger version of the Mud Bug, the Ohana Bug seats a family of 4 comfortably. Be prepared to get dirty, even in the back row!

Included: Snacks and beverages, riding pants, shirt, helmets, and goggles.

Restrictions: 16yrs. or older to drive an ATV, must have photo ID with proof of age – no pregnant women, persons with bad backs or necks, surgery within 3 months,or children under 5.  Children 5-15yrs old allowed only as passengers. Maximum weight for ATV is 250lbs, Mudbug is 300lbs.

This longtime Kauai ATV company began operations in 1999 on the south side of Kauai using private access land.  Your guides will stop along the way to share the fascinating stories of this historical plantation.  You’ll visit waterfalls and have fun swimming in the pools.  They go to great lengths to ensure that every ride is not only safe, but adventurous and dirty.  They are also proud to have a fleet of 20 bio-deisel Mud Bugs that use fuel sourced and processed on Kauai!

Included: Picnic style sandwiches, cookies, juice, and bottled water.  Riding pants, shirt, helmets, and goggles.

Beginner or Experienced Riders!

This “Ranch Tour” is their most popular tour.   After instruction and some practice time, you embark on an exciting journey through the diverse landscape and history that makes Kipu one of the top eco-tours in the state of Hawaii today.  You will be sharing the area with cattle, wild pigs, pheasants, peacocks and wild turkeys. Many movies were filmed on Kipu Ranch and the ranch tour takes you to some of those locations.

The guides are often the highlight of the tour as they share the history and legends and point out some of the more interesting sites, medicinal plants and photo spots.  They are skilled at getting you comfortable, keeping you safe and making the tour fun for everyone.

The views on the Ranch Tour include the incredible view of Kipu Kai from the top of the mountain, through the forests and along the Hule’ia river to the Indiana Jones Swing.  The Ranch Tour has some challenging terrain but is a tour and is kept at a safe speed.
