View beautiful coral reefs, sea turtles, tropical fish and dolphins on this Kauai snorkel tour adventure. Winter surf often pounds Kauai’s north shore in winter, churning up sand and decreasing visibility so during these times Kauai’s south shore reefs are usually clear and calm. The spots you’ll visit are healthy
and thriving and provide a home for many indigenous Hawaiian marine species.  This adventure will have you suited up and in the ocean within minutes of leaving the harbor!

Restrictions: Not recommended for pregnant women and those with chronic back or heart conditions.

Join Captain Tara!

This is a unique and personal ocean rafting and snorkeling adventure with Captain Tara, a Marine Biologist as your host while you explore the entire Na Pali Coastline (weather permitting) with spectacular views of sea caves, marine life, waterfalls and more. Her snorkel tours depart from Kekaha, which means you get to the fun and beauty even faster and leaving from Kauai’s west side shaves off one hour of travel time.  You’ll also enjoy the personal service that a small group affords with Captain Tara and her trained crew.

Restrictions: The zodiac is a fast Navy Seal Vessel and NOT recommended for pregnant women and those with chronic back or heart conditions.

Spectacular Na Pali Coast Cruise

Share this Na Pali snorkeling experience with a local family.  You’ll view the wondrous sea caves, cascading waterfalls, uninhabited lush valleys, miles of white sand beaches and incredibly blue ocean water.  Snorkel in the warm tropic water with equipment and instruction provided.

Marvel at the colorful marine life, playful dolphins and humpback whales when in season.  The Captain and crew are determined to make this a once in a lifetime experience.  Stops are made throughout the journey for informative and amusing commentary that allows ample opportunity for photos and video taping.

The Na Pali Kai III is powered by twin 260 hp Cummins diesels with sea fury surface drives.  It is an incredibly fast and comfortable 49’ powered catamaran. For unobstructed views, all seating is forward facing with padded seats for comfort.  Shaded area,  fresh water shower and a spacious restroom are only a sample of the vessel amenities.

Restrictions: No pregnant woman or those with bad necks or backs.

North Shore Departure!

The captains and crew of this tour are experienced, knowledgeable and will provide you with an exciting and informational tour of Na Pali Coast that is unsurpassed. Starting from the North Shore you’ll begin to see the magnificent cliffs of Na Pali within twenty minutes of leaving Hanalei. Conditions permitting, you’ll be taken into the “Two Door” sea cave and have a snorkel at Nualolo Kai.

The vessel is a custom made 26 ft. rigid hull inflatable with twin Suzuki four-stroke engines.

Restrictions: Due to the nature of the ride, children 6yrs and younger cannot be accommodated. No pregnant women or anyone with back or neck injuries.

Morning and afternoon tours available

Included: Lunch, soft drinks and bottled water. Vegetarian options are available upon request. Snorkel gear and dry bags.

Snorkel With The Experts!

The best snorkeling on Kauai is inside protective reefs. This snorkel tour is for all ages and levels of experience.

South shore tour description: The first snorkel spot is usually Lawai Beach. The reef is 50 yards or so from shore and the water inside the reef is about 8 to 10 ft deep. You’ll spend most of the time on this first snorkel hovering over the reef in just a few feet of water. There is a great variety of species here including butterfly fishes, tangs and surgeon fishes, wrasses and puffers. You’ll be in the water for up to 45 minutes before taking a break. After refreshments, those who are comfortable with a slightly more advanced snorkel will be accompanied to the second area where you may see Pacific Green Sea Turtles.

North shore tour description: Makua is a gorgeous beach with Makana as a backdrop. The inner reef is volcanic and has a large shallow area that leads out to a drop off. In places the depth changes from 3 ft to 60 ft straight down! There are lava tubes and underwater caves which create habitat for a variety of marine life. Follow the natural contours of the reef exploring as you go. Conditions and stamina permitting, the second snorkel will tour the area inside the outer reef.

Included: Transportation from most hotels. Use of top quality equipment including wetsuits and optical masks. Thorough instruction and tour with expert guides. Discussion of relevant marine biology. Lunch and beverages.

Departs from Waimea Town!

Join the crew aboard the exciting, new Na Pali Explorers (26′, 16 passenger Explorer I Zodiac or the 48′, 35 passenger Explorer II) for a memorable journey along Kauai’s majestic Na Pali Coast.  They’ll land (weather and ocean permitting) at Nu’alolo Kai for a journey into the past and visit the ruins of an ancient Hawaiian Fishing Village.  Here is where you’ll swim and snorkel on the protected reef where crystal clear waters teem with fish, coral formations, sea turtles and other marine life.

Included: Complimentary use of snorkel gear and flotation equipment.  Continental Style breakfast, deli style picnic lunch and assortment of non-alcoholic beverages.

Restrictions: Minimum age requirement is 8yrs old for the Explorer I and 5yrs old for the Explorer II. No pregnant women or anyone with back or neck injuries.

Na Pali Coast and the Forbidden Island of Niihau!

On the Na Pali and Niihau Snorkel Tour, you’ll get an up-close look at the numerous waterfalls and sea caves that dot the Na Pali’s magnificent coastline. Then, after crossing the Kaulakahi Channel, you’ll explore Niihau’s unique landscape, formed by millions of years of waves and ocean currents.  Although landing is not permitted, you’ll experience Niihau’s vast network of reefs and undersea life as the caring crew assists and instructs you in snorkeling—relax, float, and watch the comings and goings of the aquatic world in this spectacular and remote place. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a gourmet deli-style buffet lunch. Choose from a variety of deli meats, cheeses, veggies and breads to make a sandwich work of art! There is also pasta and fresh fruits. Soft drinks are served throughout, with beer and wine served after snorkeling.

Holo Holo is a 65’ state-of-the-art power cat and is long and wide enough to give you a swift ride. She’ll get you to the fun faster for sure! She has two entry/exit points for snorkelers, a large shaded cabin with bar area and two trampolines for sunbathing and watching dolphins. She can carry 65, but they keep the numbers to 49 or less, which means more room to sightsee, snorkel, relax and enjoy.

Enjoy authentic Hawaiian trade-wind sailing aboard the “Leila”, an incredible 50’ sailing catamaran.  This vessel was created for the utmost in a true sailing experience. Her sleek design provides ample room and a comfortable ride while you slip smoothly through Kauai’s warm blue waters.

A typical tour will take you on an excursion from the tranquil waters of Port Allen to the dramatic Na Pali Coast, where an amazing undersea world awaits you.  The experienced and knowledgeable crew will share information on the historic legends of Kauai and the marine animals that populate our coastal areas.  Gliding through the waves at 18 knots with the Garden Island’s majestic coast as a backdrop is a vacation experience unparalleled.

During this time, your crew will be entertaining your imagination with stories of the Hawaiians who once lived there.  When you turn around to find a snorkel spot you then may get the chance to get the thrill of sailing at speeds exceeding 12kts (if wind conditions permit).  It’s not uncommon to attain speeds up to 18kts!  Although they do motor at times, “Nobody sails more!” When conditions permit you’ll snorkel somewhere along the coast.  Afterward, will be a great lunch before heading back home.

Na Pali Day Trip for FUN!

(May – September only)

Go on a 6 hour exploration of Kauai’s rugged Na Pali Coast. Leave the modern world behind-darting in and out of sea caves, plunging under cascading waterfalls, and encountering the dramatic peaks and majestic valleys of the Na Pali Coast. When conditions allow, you’ll land on a remote beach for snorkeling, hiking and a delicious lunch. Take a guided historical hike to the ruins of an 800 year old Hawaiian fishing village. Explore the same thriving reef ecosystem that supported ancient Hawaiians.

Napali Coast snorkeling and the beach landing are conditions permitting. Tour destination will be determined based on passenger comfort and safety.

Restrictions: No children under 5, pregnant women, or anyone with chronic or recent back or neck injuries.

Included: Lunch, snacks and beverages, expert snorkeling instruction, soft silicone masks (even corrective lenses), “dry” snorkels, fins.

Bring: Sunscreen, hat, camera, towel and wear your swimsuit.

A GREAT Snorkel and Picnic Sail…

On this tour you’ll spend 5 to 5½ hours exploring Kauai ‘s rugged Na Pali coast while learning the history and legends of the ancient civilizations that once inhabited the Garden Isle.  You’ll see spectacular sea cliffs, enchanting waterfalls and timeless lava tubes.  The boat will anchor at a tropical reef to snorkel and explore the underwater ecosystem.  Top it off with lunch and breathtaking views at sea.  Passengers enjoy large shaded cabin areas, cushioned seating and clean restrooms in a luxury 55ft catamaran that was designed to include every aesthetic and practical detail.  The catamaran hull provides a smooth ride and can achieve speeds up to 20kts.  There are large trampolines for sunbathing and a

teak-trimmed fully protected main cabin. The meals are catered and have been carefully planned to please. This is a really one first-class operation!

Restrictions: No pregnant women beyond second trimester, no children under two years old, no bad backs, necks or recent surgeries.

Includes: All snorkel gear and instruction (soft silicone masks, “dry” snorkels, and even corrective lenses). Continental breakfast w/assorted pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee. Deli lunch (roast beef, turkey breast, and baked ham w/ swiss and cheddar cheese, wheat and rye bread and pasta salad. Dessert of fresh sliced pineapple, cookies. Beverages throughout the tour. Cocktails (beer, wine and “sneaky tikis”) available after snorkeling.
